'Red Water' caused by dissolved iron and manganese is prevalent in well water systems.  If untreated, fixture staining, rusty water, and discolored clothes are problems that will occur. "AQUA-TREAT #135" will prevent these problems where iron is present in water systems.  As little as .1 ppm iron will produce noticeable water problems; two to four times as much as "AQUA-TREAT #135" is required for iron problems.  'Red Water' caused by corrosion of steel pipes is also prevented due to the filming action.

Scale formation is controlled with "AQUA-TREAT #135" treatment usually at 5 - 10 ppm.  The dissolved "AQUA-TREAT #135" interferes with scale crystal growth, thus preventing formation.  After prolonged use, existing scale is also slowly removed.  The chemicals incorporated in the product, are time proven and field tested for scale control.

For actual use, "AQUA-TREAT #135" is diluted in a 55 gallon drum of water and dispensed into the water line with a special positive displacement, chemical pump.  The specific dilution will depend on water flow, and chemical pump capacity.  One gallon of "AQUA-TREAT #135" will treat 214,000 gallons of water at 2 ppm, or 42,800 gallons of water at 10 ppm.  The recommended initial treatment is 2 ppm.  The following treatment figures were determined using DAVIES "CHEM-PUMP".
