| GREEN
POOL
Algae is the natural enemy to your swim pool. It is usually found as green, brown or black deposits or as a green dispersion floating in the water. For immediate treatment add 1 Quart "ALGAE-BAN"per 10,000 gallons, and adjust pH to 7.2. That night, super shock pool with 1 gallon of "POOL-KHLOR"per 10,000 gallons. Run filter continuously and backwash as often as necessary. The next day brush and vacuum dead algae out of pool. Repeat "POOL KHLOR" treatment as necessary. |
| SHOCK
YOUR POOL - to keep it crystal clear!
Weekly shock treatment (superchlorination) eliminates impurities from the pool that daily chlorination does not remove. If these impurities build up, they prevent chlorine from sanitizing properly, causing cloudy water, etc. Use 1/2 gallon of "POOL KHLOR" or one lb. of "STABLE-KHLOR" to shock (at night) 10,000 gallons. Check pH before and after shock treatment. |
| STABLIZE
YOUR WATER
Save chlorine, money, and have a cleaner, more sanitary pool. Normal sunlight 'steals' chlorine from your pool; so when the day is hottest, people are in the pool and chlorine is needed most, it's not there. By adding 4 pounds "SUN-SCREEN" per 10,000 gallons of pool water, sufficient stabilizer will be present to prevent chlorine loss due to sunshine. By maintaining chlorine residues all day and during busy pool times, "SUN-SCREEN" will help maintain sanitary and crystal clear water. DAVIES"STABLE-KHLOR" and "JUMBO CHLORINE TABLETS" also contain stabilizer. |
| CLOUDY
WATER
This can be caused by micro-organism growth, poor filtration, or microscopic dust/soil particles. Initial treatment should be adjusting pH to 7.2, shock at night with "POOL KHLOR" and run filter continuously. If water remains cloudy, treat with DAVIES"POOL-KLEER" according to label directions. This product is a chemical vacuum that grabs on to miscroscopic dirt and removes it at the filter. "SAND-KOTE" added to a sand filter can cure cloudy water by greatly improving filter action, removing smaller particles and oils. |
| POLISH
YOUR WATER
Use "SAND-KOTE" in your sand filter. This product enables a sand filter to filter smaller particles and remove oils. "SAND-KOTE" provides crystal clear water with a sparkle. |
| CHECK
YOUR pH
Prevent pool headaches before they start. Proper pool pH is 7.2 to 7.6; higher than 7.6 makes chlorine ineffective. "POOL KHLOR" will raise pH. "JUMBO CHLORINE TABLETS" will lower pH. "STABLE-KHLOR" does not affect pH. |
| FOAMING
POOLS
This is a common occurrence, caused by Quaternary Ammonium Algaecides. This is not only an unappealing aesthetic condition, but is detrimental to proper filtration and cloudy water may result. Small additions of "FOAM-X SP100" will eliminate foam and restore proper filtration. |
